Nigori awa belongs to the nigori (cloudy) sake category — a time-honored style of Japanese sake known for its creamy appearance and texture. But this sake is anything but ordinary.
Crafted using a distinctive method, Nigori awa is left undisgorged after undergoing natural in-bottle secondary fermentation. This rare approach preserves fine rice sediments and results in a sake that’s luxuriously rich and creamy, with a pleasant acidity and a clean, dry finish.The savory essence of rice comes alive in every sip, perfectly balanced by the soft, natural effervescence of awa (bubbles).
To experience its full depth, gently invert the bottle a few times to evenly mix the sediments, then open slowly to release the pressure.
